Reconstruction Project of Kedarnath Dham
The Embassy of India would like to inform that following a major calamity at the Kedarnath area in 2013, the Government of India had taken steps for reconstruction of Kedarnath area.
Recently on advice of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the efforts are being made to help develop Kedarnath on the principle of “Smart Township”. The State Government of Uttarakhand have endeavored to restore the shrine and the surrounding area to its pristine glory, while providing devotees with all modern amenities and services. To meet this goal, the State Government has now constituted “Shri Kedarnath Charitable Trust” to seek funds for Shri Kedarnath Dham reconstruction works.
While promoting the Reconstruction Project of Kedarnath Dham amongst the Indian diaspora, the State Government of Uttarakhand would like to request the Indian diaspora to contribute to the noble cause through the Kedarnath Charitable Trust.
