University of Delhi invites application from international students for Admissions 2020-21

The University of Delhi is recognized globally for academic excellence and is reputed as a premier and top-ranking university in India. The university offers a wide range of courses, approximately 500 in number,  across different disciplines such as law, natural sciences, engineering, social science, genetics, electronic sciences, computer science, commerce, business studies, management, music, fine arts, journalism, languages, and many others. These courses are conducted in its  70 colleges,  16 Faculties, 87 Departments and 16 Centres.   An internationally acclaimed and affordable quality education with English as the common medium of instruction  makes the university  a top choice for students. The  student community is among the largest globally and is truly diverse, being  well-represented from within every corner of India and from over 70 countries worldwide. 


The university will commence its application process for foreign nationals for the academic session 2019-20 from 21st February 2019. Please find attached here the announcement of the same. Candidates seeking admission in the various academic programmes of the university are advised to visit the website of Foreign Students' Registry (www.fsr.du.ac.in) for admission-related information and completing the online application form. 

As you would be aware, our government is actively seeking to attract more international students.  This was also highlighted by Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs, Shri V. Muraleedharan during his address to the international students in Delhi University in November, 2019. A greater international presence in our academic institutions  was also the focus in ICCR's "Destination India' conference held recently in Pune, in which Delhi University was an active participant.

We request you to give this admission announcement a wide publicity and outreach to enable more overseas students to consider University of Delhi as a destination for  higher education. We are committed to  internationalization  and expanding the international student community in India is an important step in this direction.
