Fraudulent calls

The Embassy of India, Oslo advises all NRIs/PIOs living in Norway that no attention should be paid to calls by fraudsters threatening with deportation or fines due to some wrong entries made in immigration forms and asking to pay money to settle the case, even if the calls come from Indian Embassy`s number. The Indian Embassy never asks for payment through Western Union or any other money transfer agencies. Report such cases to police and to the Embassy at cons.oslo@mea.gov.in immediately.
