VIRTUAL CELEBRATION OF THE 7th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA

The Embassy of India in Norway has been celebrating the International Day of Yoga every year since 2015 with support of Yoga institutes/Studios based in Norway. The United Nations designated June 21 as the International Day of Yoga at the initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, when 177 countries including Norway co-sponsored the UN Resolution in 2014.
As part of celebrations of the 7th International Day of Yoga, the Embassy of India in Oslo will be organizing a virtual session on this year’s theme: Yoga for Wellness on Friday 25 June, 2021 at 1730 hrs. The session will be conducted by two renowned Yoga Masters, Ms. Jenny Vagane and Mr. Massimo Barberi.

launch of mYoga App
On the occasion of 7th International Day of Yoga, Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated mYoga App which is jointly developed by World Health Organisation (WHO) in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH of India.
The app is available on google play store as well as on apple app store. It provides authentic information on yoga in multiple languages.
This is to inform you that the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, India, will be organizing the "UBUNTU : International Yoga Conference - Yoga for Universal Well-being" to be held on 21-22 June 2021 from 1330 to 1630 hrs (Indian Standard Time). The revised flyer of the conference is available on website and social media of ICCR.

Given the likelihood of continued pandemic situation during the IDY 2021, and high probability of online/virtual events to mark the International Day of Yoga, the Ministry of Ayush has come up with ‘IDY Handbook’.
Ministry of Ayush has also compiled digital resources for social media/other forms of promotion by Missions/Posts and other stakeholders.

Ayush Ministry is publishing an e-Newsletter to spread the message of IDY activities, it is carried-out through a group of Young Communication Professionals with support of the Ministry of Ayush. Copy of the FOURTH ISSUE of the 'IDY 2021' Newsletter, which carries forward the message of International Day of Yoga 2021 is attached herewith.
Ayush Ministry is ready to include (select) details in their forthcoming e-Newsletter on promotional activities related to IDY by Missions/Posts. Ayush Ministry also proposes to bring out a Mega issue of the e-Newsletter in the week after IDY-2021.
