The Embassy of India in Norway would like to inform that The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is celebrating Golden Jubilee edition of International Film Festival of India(IFFI-2019)in Goa,India from 20th to 28th November, 2019. The Golden Jubilee will bean important platform to showcase India's progress as soft power and film destination.
IFFI is the largest and most prestigious film Festival in the country. One of the main features of this festival is the ‘International Competition Section’ for feature films by directors from all over the world. The other section include Non-Competition (Cinema of the World), Foreign Retrospectives, Tributes and Focus- Period/personality based foreign films. The Indian sections include the Indian Panorama which presents the best of the recent Indian feature and non-feature films, and tributes and retrospective. In addition, the festival will have a Film Bazaar Section also.
The Objective of the Festival aims at providing a common platform for film makers of the world to project there excellence in film art, contributing to the understanding and appreciation of film cultures of different nations in the context of their social and cultural ethos; and promoting friendship and co-operation among people of the world.
