SEWA - Indian Consular Services System

Applicants are requested to apply for the following consular services through SEWA-Indian Consular Services System. Submission of documents directly at the Embassy or by post will not be accepted. 

Please click on the service types mentioned below for list of required documents for uploading at the SEWA portal and submission to the Embassy.

  1. Attestation, Power of Attorney (POA), & affidavit

  2. Attestation of commercial documents

  3. Death/Ashes certificate

  4. Birth certificate based on passport

  5. Life certificate

Steps:

1. Please visit the website (https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/) for availing various Miscellaneous Consular Services through Online Consular Services System (SEWA Portal).

2.  Please Sign up and create your account using the above weblink. Activation of your account will be done by using OTP received on your registered email ID. Once your account is activated, please login to your account and apply for the required miscellaneous consular service. Users can avail multiple services with the same account. Users may follow each step and fulfill the requirements of online application process including uploading the documents and submitting the same on the portal.

3. On successful submission of the application, a provisional acknowledgment receipt will be generated which the applicant can print after login to his/her account.

4. After scrutiny of the documents by the Mission/Consulate, the applicant will receive a confirmation message regarding submission of physical application and payment of fees. It can be seen in the dashboard of his/her account.

5.  Please refer https://www.indianembassyoslo.gov.in/page/consular-fees/ for method of payment and the applicable consular fees.

6. After receiving an email alert for successful scrutiny of the document, the applicant may send an email to reception.oslo@mea.gov.in for appointment to submit documents in-person to the Embassy.

7. Fee may be paid at the Embassy’s reception using debit card bearing bank axept.

Noteworthy points

  • In addition to uploading documents at SEWA portal,  documents mentioned in the link of each service are required during submission at the Embassy. 

  • Original documents will be matched and verified with the uploaded documents. On verification of the same, service will be rendered to the applicant.

  • Residence card copy both sides may also be uploaded in place of residence certificate at the portal.

  • Please use remarks column in the portal to specify the requested service especially in case of attestation of passport and other documents.

  • Please select correct option from the drop down menu in case of Attestation, Power of Attorney (POA) and Affidavit as per the requiremnent.

  • If POA is apostilled, as the case may be as per requirement, please also upload the apostilled page among others for scrutiny and to avoid objection.
