The Embassy of India in Norway would like to inform that the Government of India organizes “Know India Programme” (KIP) every year to provide the young Indian diaspora a bridge to their motherland and give them an exposure to India’s diverse cultural heritage and different aspects of modern India. Since 2004, the Government of India has conducted 59 editions of KIP with the participation of over 2000 diaspora youth from different countries.

In the current financial year, six editions (60th to 65th) are scheduled to be held. However, due to uncertainty with regard to international travel and Covid-19 situation in India, the dates for the next KIP editions have not been firmed up.

It is a three-week orientation programme for the Indian youth diaspora in the age group of 18-30. It may be noted that the KIP is open to PIOs residing in any country including Norway who meets the eligibility criteria. Copy of the guidelines is attached for more information.

In view of the above, the Embassy would like to identify 1-2 Indian diaspora youth who may like to participate in the KIP later this year or early next year. Once the dates are finalized for the next editions of the KIP, the participants will be requested to register themselves on KIP Portal at a short notice.

Those who are interested can send their details (name, address, email, telephone and copy of the passport and also copy of the OCI card, if available) to the Embassy at   indemb6@indemb.no
